ART IN OUTPUT is een tweejaarlijks festival op het gebied van kunst, technologie en maatschappij. Naast een expositie van mediakunst bestaat ART IN OUTPUT 2003 ook uit een seminar, presentaties van studentenprojecten, workshops, een doorlopend videoprogramma en avondprogramma's met muziek en performances.

ART IN OUTPUT 2003: Lost en found kijkt naar databestanden zoals we kijken naar de gevonden voorwerpen op een vliegveld of bij de spoorwegen. Ooit was de verloren koffer onderdeel van een betekenisvol verband, het leven van de eigenaar. Teruggevonden, maar niet opgehaald wordt het voor de buitenstaander een fragment dat naar believen een nieuwe functie of nieuwe betekenis kan krijgen.

ART IN OUTPUT wordt georganiseerd door Studium Generale en vindt plaats op de Technische Universiteit Eindhoven. Voor onderdelen van het festival wordt samengewerkt met stichting KiK (Eindhoven) stichting Artery (Amsterdam) Het Philips Muziekcentrum Eindhoven en het DEAF festival in Rotterdam.

ART IN OUTPUT 2003 vindt plaats van 17 februari t/m 2 maart 2003.

ART IN OUTPUT 2003: LOST AND FOUND
17th February - 2nd March 2003

ART IN OUTPUT is a biennial festival in the field of art, technology, and society. The heart of the festival is a major exhibition of media art. Besides, ART IN OUTPUT consists of a seminar, student projects, workshops, a continuous video program and evening programs with music and performances.

ART IN OUTPUT 2003: Lost and found takes a look at data files as if they were objects from the lost and found department of an airport or railway station. Once upon a time the suitcase was part of a meaningful context: the life of its owner. Having been found but not collected, it becomes a fragment that can be given any desired function or meaning by an outsider.

ART IN OUTPUT is organised by Studium Generale and takes place at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Parts of the festival are produced in cooperation with KiK Foundation(Eindhoven, Artery Foundation (Amsterdam) Het Philips Muziekcentrum Eindhoven and the DEAF festival in Rotterdam.

ART IN OUTPUT takes place from 17th February till 2nd March 2003.
